How to maintain the surface of stainless steel mesh belts?
Stainless steel mesh belts are widely used in various industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding appearance. After wire drawing, annealing, weaving, welding and other process, due to the occasional insufficient supply of hydrogen in the wire drawing, part of the black-yellow oxide film (black-yellow wire) and surface oil contamination during the weaving process are present. The oxidized surface not only affects the appearance quality of the mesh belt, but also adversely affects the subsequent processing of the product. Therefore, it is necessary to choose pickling, polishing and other surface treatment methods before subsequent processing.
In order to remove the thick oxidized film on the surface of the stainless steel mesh belt, pickling technology is commonly used. The use of two-step pickling technology can quickly remove the thick oxidized film on the surface of stainless steel at room temperature, and has the advantages of fast pickling speed and low application temperature. The pickling solution does not contain nitric acid and has little environmental pollution. After treatment, the appearance is clean, without loss of gloss, no fading, and no yellowing.
The electrolytes commonly used in the electrochemical polishing of stainless steel mesh belts in the industry mainly include H3PO4 H2SO4 system, HClO4 C2H5OH system, HClO4 glacial acetic acid system, H2CrO4 HNO3 system, etc. Now H3PO4 H2 is more popular. The chemical composition and technical parameters of electrochemical iron oxide removal and electrochemical polishing solution are: H3PO4 (85%) 740~770mL/L, H2SO4 (98%) 180~210mL/L, CrO350g/L, gelatin 8~10mL/L , The density of the polishing solution is 1.70~1.78g/cm3, the temperature is 55~65℃, JA=35~45A/dm2, the cell voltage is 10~20V, the time is 4~5min, the cathode is lead plate. This technology will not cause pitting corrosion of the stainless steel mesh belt substrate, and can make the appearance of the stainless steel mesh belt and the welding seam reach a mirror-like brightness.
